The SAIT LAUNCH Program offers budding entrepreneurs the chance to win one of three valuable prize packages that will help participants get their big ideas off the ground.

The prize packages for awarded in LAUNCH 2009-2010 were as follows:

First place

• $20,000 cash (sponsored by Alberta Advanced Education and Technology)
• One year of office space and corporate identity on SAIT’s campus (provided by SAIT Applied Research and Innovation; valued at $12,000)
• No cost legal services (up to $10,000) from Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP
• Registration to attend Financing Your Vision and Entrepreneur Consulting Services (sponsored by Calgary Technology Inc.; Valued at $800)
• Advising from SAIT Applied Research and Innovation Services
• Automatic eligibility for $30,000 of financing (sponsored by the Canadian Youth Business Foundation and the Business Development Bank of Canada)
• Mentors, experience, relationships, exposure.

Prize package valued at over $42,000.

Second place

• $10,000 cash (sponsored by SAIT Polytechnic)
• No cost legal services (up to $10,000) from Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP
• Entrepreneur Consulting Services and six-month Corporate Identity (sponsored by CTI; valued at $1600)
• Advising from SAIT Applied Research and Innovation Services
• Automatic eligibility for $30,000 of financing (sponsored by the Canadian Youth Business Foundation and the Business Development Bank of Canada)

Third place

• $5,000 cash (sponsored by Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP)
